Has the book changed your opinion about Canadian history?
Yes, because it has made it a lot clearer. It gave Alexander
a unique perspective on the birth of the country.
How do you feel about how Canada was created?
Looking back at the history of Canada, it is interesting to
see how all of the provinces and all of the territories came together and how
Canada was shaped. The central government did not respect all of the people
living in Canada.
Canadians have been known to be not as discriminatory as
other countries; does this change your opinion of this?
Changes my opinion because Canada was just as discriminatory
as other countries.
How do you feel about Louis Riel being executed?
Slightly disappointed that he died because of all of the
things he did for Manitoba.
Why was he executed?
The trial was unfair. He couldn’t express his view and the
judge was biased.
